These are 15 results this index has recorded from Heritage Auctions between 2020 and 2026, not every sale that happened. They under-represent inexpensive items, which sell constantly and are reported rarely, and they exclude private sales this index has no record of. Read them as documented evidence rather than as a complete market.

What does a signed Donald Trump item cost?
A wide range. A signed copy of one of his books sold for $500, a signed hat for $1,020 and a signed cut graded 8 for its autograph for $3,093. At the top, a set of House Judiciary Committee impeachment documents signed on the day of the 2019 impeachment vote made $79,200, and a signed copy of the committee's report on the articles of impeachment made $15,600. Compare Barack Obama, whose certified items mostly sold for under a thousand dollars.
Why do his trading cards sell so high?
Two of the dearest items on this page are autograph cards issued years before he ran for office. A 2011 Leaf card from a Muhammad Ali tribute set, graded 9 with a 9 autograph, sold for $48,007, and a 2012 Leaf Pop Century autograph card graded PSA 9 sold for $10,980, both in the same Goldin sale in November 2024. They combine a certified signature with a graded card, and they appeal to card collectors as well as to collectors of presidents.
What makes one Trump item worth more than another?
Connection to an event. The impeachment documents, a signed booking photograph from 2023 at $5,795, and a signed copy of the Newsweek "Madam President" issue, printed ahead of the 2016 election and then recalled, at $18,300, all sold well above his ordinary signed items. As with other presidents on this index, the object and the moment it records count for more than the signature alone. We look at that across every president in when "signed as president" is worth paying for.
Signatures are reproduced more often than most buyers realise, by outright forgery and also by machines and assistants signing on somebody’s behalf. Every item on this page has been examined by PSA/DNA, JSA, Beckett, SGC or CGC, and this index carries nothing else. That is a deliberate restriction, and the investigation that created the modern authentication industry is worth reading, along with what a certificate actually claims.
